Rob bought his 4Runner new in 1990 and has taken great pride in ownership over the last eighteen years. The vehicle had 180,508 miles on the original engine when he switched from using a semi-synthetic lubricant to AMSOIL ATM 10w-30 PAO based full synthetic oil. Oil analysis was performed prior to the change to determine the engine's health. With 5,092 miles on the conventional oil, the analysis report came back "abnormal". This provided a baseline to compare against the AMSOIL ATM. At 4,259 miles on the ATM, analysis was performed. Unlike the first test, the results came back "continue use". The TBN was 5.34 compared to 2.33 at virtually the same interval. ATM is warranted for extended drain intervals of one year or 15,000 miles, which ever comes first.
